Building Test Services Limited, formed by Phil Wright, a degree qualified Mechanical Engineer with Building Industry experience through his time as Technical Director for a major UK house builder.

Responsible for the interpretation and delivery of products to suit the Building and Planning Regulations together with affordable housing credits for environmentally sustainable projects, the outcome of which can determine a successful tender process, Phil understands the daily challenges facing specifiers and builders.

The Company's aim is to provide helpful, proactive, cost effective service to the Client initially for the Part L Building Regulations, Conservation of Fuel and Power, followed in early 2008 by ECO Homes and mid 2008 with acoustic test work for compliance with Part E of the Building Regulations, Resistance to the Passage of Sound.

Many consultants will perform assessments and tests, but leave the interpretation of results and resolution of problems to the Client, not a satisfactory situation given the urgency of resolution since most problems come to light during the hand over stage from specification to construction or from construction to end customer. This pressurised environment risks the use of costly or ineffective remedial actions further burdening the Client with unnecessary penalties.

Building Test Services will advise throughout the development stages and offer a free of charge service to assist with problem resolution, see information on compliance.
